Viva la Vida!

So life! Life right now is pretty good. NaNoWriMo is going on, so I'm pretty psyched about that. As of right now I've got 33,200 words, which is obviously short of the quota of 33,667 words for today. But that's alright, I'm sure I'll get it. Plus, Thanksgiving break is coming up, so I'll have some extra time to write and stuff. Other than that, I've been really busy with school, and theatre.

Our school's drama department just put on a One Act Play for the competition, entitled "When Death Do Us Part." I played the role of Lady Victoria Pennington, which was weird for me because I wasn't used to playing a female role. It seemed odd to me, because whereas with Renfield and Magnus, I never had to think "Okay, Jessica, act like a man," but with this role, I had to think, "Okay, how do I act like a woman?" I think there might possibly be something wrong with me.

Along with that, I had auditioned to be in my community theatre's production of Scrooge, and I was cast as Christmas Present. Unfortunately, my father had heart surgery and was out of work, so I couldn't pay for the acting lessons I was forced to take in order to be in the production. I had to drop out. I still plan on going to see it though, because the script is great, and the actors are magnificent.

And with that, I also auditioned for the duo part in literary. My 'Scrooge buddy' Teresa is the other part of Duo. We're going to be doing a reading of The Telltale Heart, broken up into the 'sane' and 'insane' parts, one of us will be the sane part. The other will be the insane. I quite look forward to this, as I think we'll be completely different from anyone else out there. Seriously. It's going to rock hardcore.

I can't really think of anything else that's interesting at the moment, I don't really do all that much with my life. But I'll try and update this blog every once in a while, despite the fact that no one is going to read it.
